April and May is going to be an exciting time on my travel calendar. I’ll be trading my cosy bed in Cape Town for unfamiliar beds for most of the two months. But that’s not the exciting part. I’ll be experiencing cultural extremes when considering the cities on my itinerary. With a combination of business and leisure trips I’ll be off to Germany, India, Spain and within my home country, South Africa.
Being a numbers person, I’ve calculated that I’ll be flying for just over 100 hours in total (that’s 4.2 days), but thankfully reasonably spaced apart.
So, over the next few weeks, you can look forward to posts, pics and tweets from my travels. I’ve just posted about my long weekend at an exclusive (yet very affordable) bush camp at Ithala, in KwaZulu Natal. After a short business trip in Joburg and Muldersdrift, I’ll be off to the pretty Bavarian city of Munich once more. Then I’ll be visiting India again. This will be more of an exploratory one (watch this space for some details!). This time I’ll be exploring some of the lesser visited areas of Sikkim and Kashmir.
India will be followed immediately by the biggest tourism event on the continent – Indaba in Durban. Two weeks later I jet off again on a purely leisure trip to Andalucia in southern Spain.
Keep following this blog to see if I cope…
